Terms of Service — Flipside

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Flipside ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including publishers and readers.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
One person may not maintain more than one account.

3. Publisher Terms

As a publisher on Flipside, you agree that:

You own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload.
Your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
You will not upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Flipside retains a 10% platform fee on all paid publication sales.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your content and pricing.

4. Reader Terms

Purchased publications are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not redistribute, resell, or share purchased content.
You may not attempt to download, copy, or extract content from the flipbook viewer.
Access to purchased content is tied to your account and is non-transferable.

5. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed through Paystack in Ghana Cedis (GHS) or other supported currencies.
Prices are set by publishers and displayed inclusive of all applicable fees.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Publisher payouts are processed after a 7-day holding period to allow for dispute resolution.

6. Intellectual Property

The Flipside platform, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Flipside and protected by intellectual property laws. Publishers retain full ownership of their content. By uploading content, you grant Flipside a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote your publications on the platform.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

Use the Platform for any illegal purpose.
Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code.
Attempt to circumvent payment systems or security measures.
Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Platform.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
Use the Platform to distribute spam or unsolicited communications.

8. Content Moderation

Flipside reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates these terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies. Decisions regarding content moderation are at our sole discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

Flipside is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Flipside in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to access purchased content may be revoked.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Accra, Ghana.
